New options in the exporting sheet

We love introducing new options in our app, and to celebrate the 1st Birthday we used the new PixyQuilt colour diagrams to introduce 2 new cool options in the app:

1. The possibility of counting the number of pieces of each colour.

2. The display of the row!column numbers to help you with the quilt Assembly.

Do you like them? Tell us what you think!

Do you like them? Tell us what you think!

These new options can be added to any pattern. So, designers!! If you are interested in trying them, tell us!

And remember!! Make a PixyQuilt and place it on the Wall to be eligible to be part of the pattern designs, in the main QuiltInk pattern page.

And don’t forget our Giveaway with a big prize of a course from @carolina_oneto . It finishes in 2 days!! Look for the post about it and participate!

New option: Modify the colouring

Now, the designers can modify a colour layout already published in their pattern page without the need to make a copy of it to create a draft and replace the old colour layout with the draft.

Now, the published colour layouts can be modified directly.

Where to find the new option

Go to your Designer Page, then to Manage Patterns and then to edit the pattern.

On the right of the colour layout name you want to modify, in the “…” icon, you will find a “palette” with “Modify layout colouring” icon that will open the colouring page.

You can modify the colour, the merging and block the merging (if you don’t want to allow users to be able to unmerge this colour layout) if you forgot to do it before.

We  have decided to keep the 2 categories, draft and published, colour layouts, so the colour layouts can be better organised by the ones you are working  on, the tests and the unfinished, from the good ones made public and used for the users to colour your pattern.

Remember, if you have any questions or suggestions about how QuiltInk works, please contact us by email (info@quiltink.com) or Instagram chat.

Best wishes to you all!

Catalina

Pixy Quilt

Have you ever tried to plan a quilt on a sheet of paper with a grid using your crayons? Sure you have. It’s a very good way to plan your unique quilt which doesn’t require a lot of instructions and can be assembled very quickly.

Now, QuiltInk offers you the option to plan a pixel quilt in a digital, fun, fast and eco-friendly way.

From now on, you will find on QuiltInk our PixyQuilt, a set of grids created for you to plan your pixel quilt with us. It includes 7 different block layouts using 2 1/2″ squares or 5″ squares as bassis.

And the Pixyquilt comes with 2 new additions to the QuiltInk app!

  1. Displaying the number of pieces of every fabric/colour used to colour a PixyQuilt.
  2. The possibility to display other information over the coloring diagrams. On the PixyQuilts exporting diagrams you will see the row and column numbers. It can be very useful to assemble the quilt.

You can see these two new options on the exporting section of every colour version on QuiltInk. Accessible from the colouring pages, the Wall, and from your account. If you want to learn more about the exporting option on QuiltInk visit our tutorial about exporting colouring versions.

We have set up a page with more information  and instructions to piece these Pixy Quilts. There, you can check the number of precuts and yardage requirements, and basic assembly instructions. If you have any other questions please contact us at info@quiltink.com or chat with us on Instagram!
