The #backcountrystarquilt is a variation on the Commonwealth Star Quilt. It’s an intermediate #quiltpattern and comes in 5 sizes: Wall Hanging, Baby, Lap, Throw and Bed. It has 2 color versions: multicolor and two-color. And unlike most Lone Star patterns, there are no Y seams in the Backcountry Star.

We are really happy to welcome a new designer in QuiltInk, she is Helen from Cedar Quilt Co, with her just released pattern, the Forest Flowers quilt pattern. She is also the designer and founder of  @helens__closet and co-host @lovetosew.podcast . Plase show a lot of love to new designers to encourage them to keep going with their amazing work! 


The Forest Flowers is inspired by the wildflowers that emerge from the undergrowth in the spring, Forest Flowers uses simple half square triangles to create foliage. Vertical stripes of beautiful blooms emerge as the quilt is assembled! Choose any colors you like for flowers and pair them with rich greens and bright center accents. Forest Flowers really pops on a dark or light background and is a great quilt for any season. Forest Flowers comes in 6 sizes: baby, crib, lap, large throw, twin, and bed.
