Today we welcome a news designer on QuiltInk! She is Prarthana from Cece’s Quilts and Things with her Colourful Mosaic #QuiltPattern, a block based quilt, where each main quilt block is constructed in the medallion style.

#colourfulmosaicquilt is perfect for the intermediate or confident beginner quilter, it uses many common quilt blocks – like half square triangles, flying geese blocks, four patch blocks, triangle in square blocks, and common quilt making techniques, like strip piecing, etc. to construct this stunning quilt with a mosaic effect. It’s available in 5 sizes, with two layout options for the bed sizes.

The #checkeredstarlightquilt is a block based pattern that uses straight forward piecing along with some skill building half rectangle triangles. The pattern is available in two sizes – baby/lap and throw. There are instructions for making a 3 color version as well as a fat quarter version.
