QuiltInk is joining the #InformalKarnakQAL, organised by Jennifer @flygaivotafly and Kendra @piecefabricco , to support Christine, from @tessellate_textiles , in her difficult situation to support and bring her some joy.
So, the #KarnakQuilt is ready in QuiltInk for you to plan your beautiful version and remember to share your mock-ups with us tagging @tessellate-textiles to bring her beautiful things to her life.
Want to join in? Here are the steps:
1. Purchase the Karnak Quilt pattern from @tessellate_textiles .
2. Find the fabric needed (the wallhanging is the perfect size to use up the fat quarters in your stash!)
3. Make the quilt!
4. At every step along the way, post photos to instagram, using the #informalkarnakqal and #karnakquilt hashtags. Bonus points* if you tag @tessellate_textiles, @flygaivotafly, and @piecefabricco .
There is no official timeline. Perhaps we can try to be done the quilt top by end of June? I don’t know, really, just post as you do the steps above so we can celebrate Christine!
This will give Christine something to celebrate and scroll through during this time when quilting is on pause for her.
