First Kits Now Live!

I can hardly contain my excitement as I share the fantastic news about one of the latest features that was added to QuiltInk with a significant update a few months ago - the Kits option!

Over the past weeks, some of the Fabric Shops within QuiltInk have started creating these unique kits.

In case you're not familiar with Kits, here's a quick rundown:

  • It's a way to color one of the patterns on QuiltInk linked to one of the Fabric Shops. Meaning that these shops can sell you a bundle for that pattern.
  • On QuiltInk, you are able to color the pattern only with the fabrics of that shop and your custom patterns. Visit the Shop profile or just click on the yellow circle in the main page to start coloring them.
  • With your mock-up ready, you can contact the Fabric shop and buy the fabrics directly from them.

And here's a little exclusive sneak peek, just for our newsletter community members like you, {name}, we're working on an exciting update to make this process even easier. Soon, designers will be able to specify the fabric requirements for each color/fabric, so in the exporting sheet, you will see the fabrics needed to sew the pattern and the buying process will be easier. Stay tuned for more updates!

In the vibrant world of quilting, colors aren't just hues; they're storytellers, mood-setters, and the essence of our artistic expression. That's why, in this inaugural edition of the QuiltInk Newsletter, we're diving into the fascinating realm of color theory.

Understanding color theory isn't just about picking pretty shades; it's about harnessing the language of colors to convey emotions, tell narratives, and create visually stunning quilts. Whether you're a seasoned quilter or just starting, knowing how colors interact and complement each other opens up a realm of possibilities for your creative journey.

Ever wondered why certain color combinations evoke specific feelings? Or how mixing and matching colors can transform the entire mood of your quilt? The answers lie in the principles of color theory. As we embark on this colorful adventure together, we'll explore the significance of hues, tones, and shades, unravel the psychology behind color choices, and learn how to masterfully blend colors to bring your quilting visions to life.

Don't miss the further newsletters as we unravel the secrets of color theory, empowering you to infuse your quilts with deeper meaning, emotion, and artistic flair. Let's paint the QuiltInk canvas together!

To use QuiltInk, what's your preference: the computer or the mobile device? In my case, it depends on the task at hand.

The MOBILE DEVICE is ideal for faster coloring and enjoying QuiltInk anywhere. On the other hand, the COMPUTER is perfect for a larger screen, making it easier to color small pieces, with multiple patterns visible simultaneously on the main page and Wall. So, if I need to color, I prefer using the mobile device; if I want to get inspired or search for a pattern, I'll use the computer.

And here comes Tip of the Bi-Week! Install QuiltInk as an app on your mobile device! It's easy and will enhance your QuiltInk experience by:

  • Faster access to the platform: No need to open the browser and type the URL each time.
  • Keep your login session opened.
  • Utilize the entire mobile screen without browser bars for an immersive experience.

How to make it: Follow the instructions in the Install QuiltInk as an app Tutorial.

Beyond the QuiltInk world, music is a significant part of my life. From playing the piano and clarinet to embarking on the study of the cello, melodies and harmonies are threads woven into the fabric of my existence.

When you immerse yourself in our pattern activation videos and join me for Mockup Mondays, the accompanying music is more than just background—it's a carefully curated selection. Each melody is chosen to harmonize not only with the design but also with the distinctive spirit of the talented designer behind it.

Happy quilting and listening!
